The background

After years in the graduated procedure, the relationship was questioned and Chen was ordered to leave Israel.

Our work

We appealed the authority’s decisions to the Appeals Tribunal, seeking continuation of the couple’s procedure.

The outcome

Near the end of the graduated procedure, the authority required Chen to leave over doubts about the relationship. On appeal, the tribunal annulled the decisions and ordered progress in the procedure, including a permanent residence permit subject to the remaining requirements, without requiring further proof of a genuine relationship.
